🔐 Google Drive Permissions Explained

01
How do I sign in to Google Drive Explorer?
You authorize GoogleDriveExplorer by signing in with your Google account. This uses the industry standard secure OAuth 2.0 protocol. You sign in once, when you first install the extension.
03
Can I revoke access?
Absolutely. You can revoke our access anytime by logging out through the settings menu. Additionally, if you're no longer using the extension, you can remove it from your Chrome extensions.
05
Explicit exclusions
We do not read the content of your files.
We do not edit, rename, create, or delete folders or files.
We do not alter sharing or access files or folder permissions.
02
Is my password secure?
Yes. We never see or store your password. OAuth 2.0 manages the authentication process, ensuring your credentials remain private.
04
What permissions do we require?
GoogleDriveExplorer requires read-only access to your Google Drive folders and their metadata. This includes:
. File and folder names
. Parent folder or subfolders
. Creation, last view, or modify dates
. Size, type of file, etc.
If you choose to export data for offline work, the extension also needs permission to create Google Sheets.
06
Verification by Google
We use Google Drive's API. Google has verified the scope and proper usage of the Google API services we use. This is done as part of our Chrome Web Store publishing process.
